Diverse Sources Interviews- DeAnna Ryan & Max Zimmerman
Patrick Doyle, Freshman, Percussion Education Major
"I define sexual assault as unwanted assertion of ones bodice or words towards another." said Patrick Doyle
"I personally just try to avoid people that follow in those kinds of crowds. I also pay attention to patterns that show up from person to person so I know who to avoid." said Doyle when asked how he prevents sexual assault.
"After a case has been made, I believe the culprit should be expelled immediately. A victim shouldn’t have to see that person everyday. Also, I believe the victim should have a couple of weeks leave so they can at least have a grace period." said Doyle.

Larissa Williams, Junior, Nursing Major
Larissa Williams describes sexual assault as, “When someone molests you in a sexual way."
“ I believe you always need to be aware of your surroundings. As well as making sure you can trust the people you are with. It’s important to be safe.” said Williams.
“I think they need to talk about it more. I just don’t see professors and faculty really making it seem like it’s a problem.” said Williams.

Zane Platt, 23, Not In School
Zane Platt says, “I would define it as a male or female forcing themselves on someone, in an inappropriate way.”
“Be careful with you surround yourself with,” said Platt.
“I believe at any institution they should make it a priority. Make people aware that it is an issue” said Platt.
