My interview with Jameson Dunn

Jameson Dunn is a 19 year old sophomore attending Texas  State University. Originally from San Antonio, Dunn grew up  watching several varieties of videos and film, which  coincided with a passion for video editing. He also swam  competitively with his neighborhood swim team. Dunn went  to O’Connor High School where he participated in marching band for four years, including as a section leader during his  junior and senior year. After graduating in 2017, he  attended a community college in San Antonio where he took  his basics, while debating on what major he wanted to take.  Dunn then transferred to Texas State in the Fall of 2018  where he currently majors in Electronic Media. Who is Frank Arredondo?

Frank Arredondo, a 24 year old from San Antonio, Texas, is currently finishing up his education as a senior in his final semester at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. He is majoring in Mass Communication and Electronic Media and plans to utilize his degree as a social media manager, or as a video editor for a news station after he graduates. Before starting his college career, Arredondo attended Douglas MacArthur High School in San Antonio. During his four years at MacArthur, Arredondo was involved in his school's yearbook club, art classes, and band. After graduating from MacArthur in 2013, he decided to attend community college for two years before transferring to a four-year university in order to save money on tuition. He started his college education at San Antonio College, and then later at San Jacinto College in Houston. Lindsey Austin

Meet Lindsey Austin, a 21 year-old Austin, Texas native.  As a full-time college student Austin is also an employee at Tommy Bahamas. She hopes to move up in the company once she graduates in May 2020. An interesting fact about Austin is she never wanted to go to college until she went to Blinn College in Bryan, Texas. It was there Austin saw the importance of an education. Austin has since completed an internship with Texas Highway magazine where she conducted litter reports for the Department of Motor Vehicles. While interning Austin wrote two articles that were published in the Texas Highways July/August 2018 issue. Austin hopes to have a career in event planning or artist representation. Within the next three to five years Austin hopes to find a companion and have a financially stable career.

Michelle Frazee

23 January, 2019 Michelle Frazee was born and raised in California before she made the move to San Marcos, Texas to attend Texas State University fall of 2016. Frazee’s original plan was to attend the University of Texas in Austin, Texas but states that fate brought her to Texas State University. Frazee’s dream job is to work with a musical artist or a job that allows her to travel. Frazee does not have any professional experience related to Public Relations but is eager to apply her knowledge to the real world.   Her interests involve working out, attending music festivals with her friends and traveling. A fun fact about her is that she has a black belt in martial arts. On a Sunday evening, you can find her at the gym, Alkek, doing housekeeping duties or organizing her planner for the week ahead. Frazee’s top three priorities are self-care, her relationship with God and her family and friends.  

Arian Helm Interview

Adrian Helm is a student at Texas State and is currently studying electronic media. Communication is important to her, hence the major. Helm grew up in Fort Worth and attended Trimble Technical High School. As a young girl, she played basketball throughout her childhood, it being one of her passions. While being in school, Helm also has her own YouTube channel. She hopes one day her experience with the channel can turn into her own talkshow. In addition, Helm has a passion of helping others. In the past few years, she has been making wigs and eventually will extend that passion to those in need, such as cancer patients.

Meeting San'tres Broussard

San'tres Broussard is a Junior at Texas State University, majoring in public relations.  Broussard attended Trinity University in San Antonio before he moved to San Marcos to study.  When San’tres isn’t working part-time at Lowes, he enjoys working out to stay in shape. Exercising helps Broussard clear his mind when things on the outside-world become stressful. He also enjoys traveling--with hopes of visiting Tokyo, Japan one day-- and watching anime shows such as 'Attack on Titans'. As of now, Sant’res’ is working on finishing his bachelor’s degree with later plans of attending graduate school. While he is still ruminating on the institution, he is sure of his dream job after education--working in The White House.

Interviewing Clemente De La Cruz

22-year-old Clemente De La Cruz is a junior at Texas State University studying Electronic Mass Communications. De La Cruz originally from Fort Worth, Texas, sought a life away from home and the allure of San Marcos's river alone was enough to pull him to continue his education there. Outside of school, De La Cruz is a competitive gamer playing in Super Smash Bros. Tournaments as frequently as possible. De La Cruz also has a love for swimming working as a life guard, and being on the Texas State Bobcats Swim Team helping Texas State bring home first-place last Spring. Although he he took his last semester off from swimming De La Cruz is looking  to get in top shape and get back in the water. De La Cruz wishes to land a job in the TV entertainment business, but is still figuring out what job to shoot for after school. De La Cruz is sure that he wants to be apart of a production team, so that he can work with others to build something bigger than himself.

Meet Mattie Herrera!

Mattie Herrera is a public relations major and political science minor at Texas State University. Her extra-curricular activities on campus include college libertarians and SWIPS (Supporting women in political science). When Herrera is not studying, she works a part-time job at Aquabrew Brewery and Beer Garden as a Waitress. In her early days, Herrera was born in San Antonio and was later raised in Kerrville, Texas. When she was a child she wanted to be a multitude of things such as a lawyer, a TV personality interviewing important people, or a news anchor. Herrera says the happiest moment in her life was when she experienced inner peace during her abroad studies in Howth, Ireland.

Partner Interview

Maria Coraza is a junior at Texas State University. She transferred to Texas State from Lonestar Community College in Houston. This is her third semester at university with a Digital Media Innovation major and music minor. Coraza chose Texas State because of the communication programs available and for the atmosphere. Although she was born in New Jersey, Coraza was raised in Houston, Texas. At an early age, she discovered her passion for singing after seeing The Little Mermaid. As she got older this passion evolved into a love of theater, acting, and songwriting. At age 15 Corazas father passed away and overcoming that grief became a pivotal point in her life. In college, she experienced her first heartbreak that changed the way she looks at herself today. Now Coraza has a new boyfriend, fresh outlook and said she is striving to "Be as essential as I can."
